After joining GGSM in March 2018, Sherfane Rutherford went on to have a year most young cricketers only dream about these days. Representing the West Indies B Team in the inaugural Canada Global T20 League where he made the first century in the tournament’s short history. He went on to be drafted for the first time in leagues across the world, including the Indian Premier League (IPL), T10 League, Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Caribbean Premier League (CPL), and made his debut for the West Indies in T20 internationals.

When Jason Mohammed joined GGSM in 2017, he thought he was an overlooked player with the potential of being an international cricketer. Three months later Jason Mohammed was leading the Windies to a record run chase vs Pakistan with a match winning half century. He has always been amongst the highest pedigree of players in regional cricket. A useful T20 cricketer, Mohammed represented the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL)

One of Jamaica’s most dependable bowlers in recent times, Derval Green’s bowling and dependable batting has found himself in an important position for the regional Jamaica Scorpions.

A talented cricketer from the twin island of Trinidad and Tobago, Yannic Cariah has established himself as one of the team’s most senior players over the years. A great leader who is respected amongst his peers and opponents, Cariah’s left handed batting and part time leg spin has been a consistent piece of a Red Force Team who are always competing for regional titles.

An aggressive batsman and athletic wicketkeeper, Aldaine has definitely made a case he is the future behind the stumps for Jamaica. He burst onto the scene in late 2015 when he was selected as the main wicketkeeper for the Jamaica Scorpions during the NAGICO Super 50 tournament. With a fairly small sample size at the regional level Aldaine looks towards the upcoming Regional 4day and One Day tournaments to add his name to the strong crop of young wicketkeepers in the West Indies. With youth experience with the Jamaica Under 19s and Jamaica Select XI Aldaine looks to have a bright future at the senior level.

This pragmatic left handed batsman is well on his way to a strong career on the cricket field. Paul appeared on the regional scene after he led the Jamaica Under 19 team to a Regional 4day and One Day Championship. Since then Palmer has represented the Combined Campuses and Colleges at the senior level before returning for the Jamaica senior team. His dedication and very strong leadership skills earned him the opportunity to captain the Jamaica Scorpions team in the recently concluded Regional 4day tournament in 2016.

A prodigy at the youth level and constantly praised for his leadership ability Ramaal Lewis has yet to blossom at the senior level but continues to receive a strong vote of confidence from regional coaches. Lewis had a breakout out party during 2019 CPL showing his potential as an all-rounder with a flurry of boundaries at the back end of the innings in multiple games to propel the Jamaica Tallawahs to competitive scores. He still has a bright future once given consistent opportunity at the senior level.

A proven leader and exciting young cricketer, Steven has emerged as one of the region’s top wicketkeeper batsmen. As a youth cricketer Steven led the West Indies team to an international title at CLICO Under 15 Championship in 2008. He has also represented the West Indies Under 19 and West Indies ‘A’ Team. In the recently concluded NAGICO SUPER 50 tournament, Katwaroo was given the Jeffrey Dujon award for wicketkeeper of the tournament. Steven’s contribution helped Trinidad and Tobago Red Force secure back to back titles finishing the tournament with 10 dismissals, consisting of six stumpings and four catches from only four matches. He was replaced in the lineup by Denesh Ramdin who returned to the team from the West Indies tour of Australia.

An athletic fast bowler from Barbados, Harding has been emerged during the last two regional seasons with strong performances with the ball. Harding will look to break into the international scene within a few years.

A great leg spinner from the island of Jamaica, Damion Jacobs has more than a handful of 5 wicket and 10 wicket hauls for Jamaica during some of the more dominant days for the Scorpions. Jacobs and then Scorpion captain Nikita Miller consistently bowled Jamaica into games during the heights of their career.
